Urgent: Gunfire Heard in Yerevan, Local Authority Injured

Gunfire was reported in Yerevan a short while ago, according to Shamshyan.com.

At around 21:00, the police department of Arabkir received a call indicating that gunshots were heard near the "Safi" beauty salon, adjacent to the Armenian Investigative Committee on Mamigonian Street.

Police and investigators on the scene discovered a shell casing and signs of blood. It has been confirmed that one individual with a gunshot wound has been transported to the "Kanaker-Zeytun" medical center, identified as a local authority figure.

Investigators and forensic experts are currently working at the scene.
