Trial of Don Pippo Nears Conclusion, Witness Vladimir Gasparyan Interrogated

In the general jurisdiction court of Ararat region, presided over by Hrachiq Sargsyan, the trial related to Arthur Asatryan, known by the nickname 'Don Pippo,' took place today, April 20. During this session, the prosecuting attorney was expected to deliver an opening statement; however, he announced that he might present a motion at the next session.

In an interview with NEWS.am, Arthur Asatryan's lawyer, Rafael Amirkhanyan, indicated that the trial is nearing completion. He stated, 'If the prosecutor presents the opening statement at the next session, we will move on to the debate stage.'

During previous sessions, the phase of witness interrogations has been underway. According to NEWS.am sources, former Chief of Police of Armenia, Vladimir Gasparyan, has also been interrogated as a witness.
