Body of Martakert Resident Found with Gunshot Wound
On April 19, a 39-year-old resident of the Martakert region, identified as E. M., reported to the Artsakh Police Department's Martakert division via phone that a person had gone missing in the administrative area known as ‘Svqare’.
The police discovered that on the same day around 10:00 AM, residents of the Martakert region, V. G. born in 1961, and G. H. born in 1954, had left their home to collect herbs in the specified area. They had agreed to meet at the same place at 5:00 PM after splitting up, but V. G. did not return.
Following search operations conducted by the Artsakh Police, emergency services, and local residents, V. G.'s body was found on April 20 at 00:30 AM in the area known as ‘Svqare’ with a gunshot wound to the head. A double-barreled hunting rifle registered in the name of V. G.'s son was found near the body.
The investigation is being handled by the Artsakh Police Department's Martakert division.
