Temporary Stay Periods for Foreign Citizens in Russia Extended
Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree extending the temporary stay periods for foreign citizens in Russia until June 15, amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, as reported by the RIA Novosti agency, citing the Kremlin's press service.
According to the decree, the deadlines for temporary or permanent residence permits for foreign citizens and stateless persons in Russia will be suspended from March 15 to June 15. Additionally, this also applies to the periods during which foreign citizens and stateless persons are registered at their place of residence, where such periods may expire during the specified time frame.
Furthermore, in accordance with the presidential decree, employers in Russia can hire foreign citizens as employees without a work permit until June 15.
