Measures to Mitigate the Effects of Coronavirus Are Effective
On April 17, under the leadership of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, a regular consultation was held at the government regarding the anti-crisis policy aimed at mitigating the effects of coronavirus. As reported by the press office of the Prime Minister's Office, the progress of the economic and social support programs approved by the government was presented to the Prime Minister.
The responsible officials provided the results and indicators from daily monitoring, which indicate a positive dynamic of the measures taken. It was noted that the collection of applications and the allocation of support based on approved requests continue, with any technical issues being promptly resolved.
Current results show that the majority of credit resources allocated for certain programs have been provided, which speaks to the effective progress of these programs. Nikol Pashinyan instructed to continue the constant monitoring of the implementation of the programs and ensure periodic operational responses.
Additionally, new ideas and proposals for economic support were presented. Issues related to promoting educational programs for beginner entrepreneurs and expanding the support provided to businesses through tax and credit instruments were specifically discussed. A number of proposals and comments were presented.
The Prime Minister instructed to continue working based on the discussions, refine the proposals, and provide a final version.
