Stabbing Incident in Vardashen Revealed; One Person Arrested
On April 15, 2020, around 10:00 PM, an argument broke out in an apartment on Vardashen Street in the communities of Erebuni and Nubarashen, during which a 62-year-old man inflicted knife wounds to the abdomen and chest of a 48-year-old man who was living in the same apartment, causing life-threatening injuries.
In relation to the incident, a criminal case has been initiated by the investigative department of the RA Investigative Committee for the Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts under Article 112 (Causing serious harm to health intentionally) of the RA Criminal Code.
As a result of urgent investigative and other procedural actions carried out, the 62-year-old man was located and arrested on suspicion of causing serious harm to health intentionally. He participated in the examination of the crime scene, during which he presented the knife used in the crime.
Forensic, genetic, and trace evidence examinations have been ordered. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
