Armenian Citizens Violate Quarantine Regulations at Domodedovo Airport: Embassy
The statement from the Armenian Embassy in Russia indicates that a large number of our citizens continue to prefer staying at Domodedovo Airport these days, causing congestion that violates the health safety measures implemented by the Russian government.
In this regard, the leadership of Domodedovo Airport has again contacted the embassy today, noting that the prolonged congestion of citizens has already created a problematic situation within the airport territory, violating the quarantine regulations established in Moscow and the Moscow region.
In particular, airport services have recorded numerous violations of the established quarantine regime, mostly related to the lack of social distancing and the failure to implement other health safety measures.
Given the above and the necessity to exclude the possibility of administrative liability, the airport management has passed on its request to the Embassy of Armenia in Russia, urging Armenian citizens to leave the airport premises as soon as possible.
In this regard, we once again ask and urge our compatriots to avoid staying at the airport and to wait for their upcoming flights in other locations. We again call on those facing accommodation issues to take advantage of the opportunities provided by the embassy to transfer to designated guest houses.
We reiterate that there are no flights scheduled from Moscow to Armenia in the near future. We will provide additional information as soon as it becomes available regarding possible flights.
