Russia Decides to Extradite Former Armenian MP to Yerevan
The Prosecutor General's Office of Russia has decided to extradite former Armenian National Assembly member Levon Sargsyan to Yerevan. This information was reported by the news agency "RIA Novosti," citing a statement from the press service of the Russian Prosecutor General's Office.
According to the announcement, Sargsyan was arrested last November in the city of Zelenograd. He has been wanted by Armenian law enforcement since October 2018. He is accused of being involved in a criminal organization, embezzling significant amounts of property through organized crime, and other criminal offenses.
The Russian authorities have stated that they have decided to comply with the Armenian request. Levon Sargsyan has served as a deputy in several convocations of the National Assembly and was a member of the Republican Party of Armenia.
