The Number of Coronavirus Infections in Turkey Rises to 18
Turkey has officially reported a total of 18 cases of coronavirus infections. This was announced by the Turkish Minister of Health, Fahrettin Koca, as reported by Ermenihaber.
Koca noted that 7 of the infected individuals traveled from Europe, 3 from the United States, and 5 from Saudi Arabia. It is worth mentioning that as of March 14, the number of infections in Turkey was 6, but on March 15, this number increased by 12.
According to the minister, 2 of the new infections were traced back to contact with Turkey's first confirmed case. There has been no information yet on the number of individuals in isolation.
It should be recalled that the Minister of Health announced the first case of coronavirus in Turkey on March 11.
