Emergency State Headquarters to be Led by Tigran Avinyan
The government has decided to impose a state of emergency for one month across the territory of Armenia. The Minister of Justice, Rustam Badasyan, who presented the issue, announced that an Emergency Headquarters would be established to ensure the unified management of forces and measures supporting the legal regime of the state of emergency.
Tigran Avinyan, the Deputy Prime Minister, will be appointed as the head of the Emergency Headquarters. The headquarters will also include the Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister, the Ministers of Emergency Situations, Health, Finance, Economy, Territorial Administration, and Infrastructure, as well as the Chief of the Police of Armenia, the Director of the National Security Service, the head of the coordinating body of the Prime Minister's staff inspections, and the heads of the State Health and Labor Inspection and the Food Safety Inspection bodies.
