32 Isolated Individuals Currently at Golden Palace Hotel in Tsaghkadzor, Says Arsen Torosyan

Arsen Torosyan, the Health Minister, held a press conference today to address the first cases of coronavirus detected in Armenia. He noted that the citizen returning from Iran is asymptomatic.

When checked, he had a fever of 38 degrees. “The presence of the virus in the man’s wife has been tested negative,” Torosyan stated.

He mentioned that both the crew and passengers on the flight wore masks, they exited the airport through a separate route, and had minimal contact with other people. “The individuals who took the infected citizen and his wife home have been isolated. They did not take a taxi home. The ambulance staff that accompanied the citizen to the hospital are also isolated,” he added.

Torosyan also noted that the land border between Armenia and Iran remains open for Armenian citizens. Additionally, cargo transportation between Armenia and Iran is ongoing. Torosyan informed that all employees at the border are protected by masks, and the cargo transport is under special supervision.

According to Arsen Torosyan, 117 tests have been conducted, one of which has returned positive. Currently, there are 32 individuals isolated at the Golden Palace Hotel in Tsaghkadzor.
