Pashinyan Orders Nikolay Sarkisov to be Dismissed Within Three Days

The newspaper "Fact" reports: As previously informed last year, Nikolay Sarkisov, the Consul General of Armenia in Lyon, has been relieved of his duties. Notably, this dismissal had not been publicly disclosed for a long time. Moreover, there were indications that he had been dismissed much earlier. New significant details have come to light regarding this matter.

According to the newspaper's sources, after the media, including "Fact," published scandalous information related to Sarkisov, this was immediately reported to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, who ordered that the consul be dismissed "within three days." Following that, Sarkisov, naturally, submitted his resignation.

It is worth recalling that a warrant for Sarkisov's arrest was issued in connection with a criminal case initiated in Ukraine, and at the request of the Ukrainian police, the French National Police sent a relevant inquiry to the Armenian consulate in Lyon. In response to our inquiry, the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the inquiry was not written; rather, a representative of the French National Police visited the Armenian consulate in Lyon and expressed a desire to see Consul General Nikolay Sarkisov. This indicates that Sarkisov is indeed under the scrutiny of both the Ukrainian and French police.
