Issues of Guaranteeing Soldiers' Rights Are in Daily Focus: Ombudsman

The Human Rights Defender of Armenia, Arman Tatoyan, has sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of the 28th anniversary of the formation of the Armenian Army.

“Dear compatriots, esteemed soldiers, sergeants, officers, and generals, January 28 has become a true national holiday for us for the past 28 years. The Armenian Army is the main guarantor of our independence and security. It is one of the most valuable achievements of our statehood.

The genuine protection of human rights in the armed forces and civil oversight are priorities for any democratic state. The issues of guaranteeing the rights of soldiers and their family members are in my daily focus. I wish all defenders of the homeland, both yesterday and today, a good service and new achievements for a strong and powerful Republic of Armenia.”
