President of the European Council Invites EU Leaders to Extraordinary Meeting
President of the European Council Charles Michel has invited leaders of EU member states to an extraordinary meeting on February 20. In a letter sent to the heads of member countries, Michel highlighted the need to reach a consensus on the financial strategy for 2021-2027.
According to the European Council President, any delay in this matter could lead to serious financial and political issues, potentially jeopardizing the future functioning of the institution.
