Defense Ministry Responds to Discussions on New Emblem Variant

The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia has responded to discussions circulating on the internet regarding a new variant of the ministry's emblem.

“This topic was much discussed yesterday. I know that we all consider ourselves experts in everything from space to ballet and football. But please read to the end: this is not the emblem of the RA Armed Forces, but rather a variant of the RA Ministry of Defense’s emblem. Leaving aside our personal opinions, several factors are important here,” said Artur Hovhannisyan, the press secretary of the Minister of Defense.

Speaking about these factors, he emphasized that this is a project, unofficial and not final. “Neither in this image nor in the image circulated yesterday may the proportionality of the lines be maintained, as it is not a vector file. This project can become official with public support. It may become so,” Hovhannisyan stressed.
