Snowfall in Gyumri, Jermuk, Sevan and Other Cities: Road Conditions as of 22:40
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of 22:40 on January 23, there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads in the Republic of Armenia.
The Vardenyats Pass is closed for trucks and difficult for passenger cars. The Sotk-Karvachar road is difficult for trucks but open for other types of vehicles.
There are spots of black ice on the 1-5 km stretch of the Ashtarak-Yerevan road, as well as on the Goris-Sisian road in the Syunik province and the Talin-Nerqin Bazmaberd road in the Aragatsotn province.
Snow is falling in Aragatsotn province, the cities of Jermuk and Yeghqnadzor in Vayots Dzor province, Sevan in Gegharkunik province, Charentsavan and Hrazdan in Kotayk province, and in Gyumri and Artik in Shirak province.
According to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in North Ossetia, the Stepanavan-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.
