What to do if you've been told 'it's not available': Batoyan warns

The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia has received reports indicating that in certain cases, when applying for various social services, citizens find that their requests are not being accepted, often being verbally told that 'it's not available.' Minister Zarouhi Batoyan addressed this issue on her Facebook page.

"I urge you to register your application for any social service in writing. The rejection or approval of the application should also be presented to you in writing. This is a legal requirement; any other type of response deviates from this requirement. Therefore, in case of recorded violations, please write to me or the ministry's Facebook page, or call the hotline at 114," stated the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia.

However, she noted that the existence of an application does not guarantee the right to benefit from a given program. It is merely a condition for verifying the right to receive state support.

Batoyan emphasized that applications must be submitted to the territorial center of integrated social services. If there is no integrated center available in the applicant's place of residence, then social services falling under the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs (employment, social security, or medical-social expertise) or the territorial bodies of social assistance should be contacted.
