New Mine Near Ajapnyak Administrative District
The Yerevan Municipality has issued a statement regarding the public discussions on the exploitation of the mine located within the boundaries of the Ajapnyak administrative district. Econews.am presents the full statement:
"In accordance with the Law on Environmental Impact Assessment and Expertise of the Republic of Armenia (HO-110-N of 21.06.2014) and the decision N 1325-N of the Republic of Armenia Government dated 19.11.2014, public discussions will be held regarding the preliminary assessment application of the anticipated activities related to the exploitation of the Spandaryan tuff and basalt mine, presented by 'Central Estate' LLC. The discussions will take place on January 22, 2020, at 11:00 AM at the Ajapnyak administrative district community center in Yerevan."
It should be noted that, according to the data from the electronic register of the RA government, the founders of 'Central Estate' LLC are citizens Armen Levoni Mkrtchyan and Arman Shaheni Martirosyan. No further information is available about the company's activities.
