The Armenian Nation Remembers the Victims of the Baku Massacres 30 Years Ago: Avinyan
The Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia, Tigran Avinyan, made the following statement on his Facebook page: "Today, the entire Armenian nation remembers the hundreds of victims of the Baku massacres that occurred 30 years ago. During the mass atrocities from January 13 to 19, 1990, many of our compatriots were killed and subjected to violence, and the city, with a population of around 250,000 Armenians, was completely ethnically cleansed.
In honoring the memory of our fallen compatriots, we promise to never allow such atrocities to happen again and to do everything possible to protect the lives of every Armenian."
