Man Stabbed During Birthday Celebration

On the evening of January 9, a stabbing incident occurred in the village of Kosh in the Aragatsotn province. The police received a report of a bodily injury from the hospital around 10:30 PM, where the on-duty nurse informed them that a 38-year-old man had been admitted with a stab wound to the chest.

The victim initially concealed the true circumstances of the incident, claiming he had accidentally fallen at home. However, the nature of the injury suggested otherwise, and his statement did not convince either the medical staff or the police.

After compiling the necessary reports at the hospital, law enforcement officials traveled to the village of Kosh, where a site investigation and the correlation of received information revealed that the victim had been stabbed by a 28-year-old resident of the same village during a birthday party dispute.

Thanks to explanatory work with the relatives, the suspect presented himself to the police station in Ashtarak around 2:30 AM on January 10 and provided a confession. The knife has been discovered and confiscated. A forensic examination has been appointed.
