Congress Approves Resolution Limiting Trump's Authority to Use Force Against Iran
The U.S. House of Representatives on Thursday approved a resolution that restricts President Donald Trump's authority to use military force against Iran without congressional approval. The meeting was broadcast live on the House's official website.
A total of 224 lawmakers voted in favor of the resolution, while 194 opposed it. This allows the House of Representatives to exert control over Trump's actions in the ongoing conflict with Iran.
However, the passed resolution does not hold the force of law until it is approved by the Senate, where Republicans maintain a majority.
