Nicolas Sarkozy to Stand Trial
The former President of France, Nicolas Sarkozy, is set to appear in court from October 5 to 22. This has been reported by the France-Presse agency.
The preliminary hearings will take place on June 17, 2020. Sarkozy is suspected of attempts to offer bribes and violating confidentiality obligations. Similar charges have also been brought against his lawyer, Thierry Herzog, and the former chief prosecutor, Gilbert Azibert, who is now retired.
