Seeds of the World's Tallest Tree Sent from Los Angeles

“Our friends in Los Angeles, knowing that there will be afforestation work in Yerevan, sent a small gift — seeds of the world’s tallest tree, the sequoia,” announced Arthur Ispriyan, a member of the My Step faction, at the conclusion of the extraordinary session of the Yerevan City Council today, showing a small box of seeds.

“As a sign of success, I decided to donate it to the Yerevan City Hall,” he added.

One of the issues on the agenda of today’s council meeting pertained to the establishment of a state non-commercial organization for “Afforestation and Environmental Protection.” The project received approval from the council.
