Several Individuals Express Desire to Stand as Guarantors for Robert Kocharian: Orbelyan

Several individuals have expressed their willingness to stand as guarantors for Armenia's second president, Robert Kocharian. This information was shared by attorney Aram Orbelyan during a conversation with journalists.

However, the attorney refrained from disclosing the names, official titles, and places of residence of those wishing to guarantee Kocharian. “I did not state whether they are officials or not, or where they are from—whether from Armenia or Artsakh. I won’t say anything until they come and express their desire,” the attorney noted.

He reminded that Kocharian's attorneys have requested Judge Anna Danibekyan to convene an additional hearing to present a petition for release under personal guarantee. This has not yet occurred. The next hearing will take place on January 9.
