As of 21:00, There are Impassable Roads in Armenia; Snow Falls in the Ashotsk Region
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of December 4, at 21:10, there are impassable and closed roads throughout Armenia.
The Vardenyats Pass (from the Gegharkunik region) is closed to trucks with trailers. The Sotk-Karvachar road is difficult to navigate for heavy vehicles, but open for others.
There is frost on the Vardenyats Pass and the Sotk-Karvachar road. Snow is falling in the cities of Jermuk in the Vayots Dzor region, Hrazdan and Charentsavan in the Kotayk region, and in the Ashotsk region of Shirak.
According to information received from the Department of Roads of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open to all types of vehicles. Drivers are recommended to travel only with winter tires.
Construction work is being carried out on the Vanadzor-Alaverdi-Bagratashen road, causing the road segment to be closed for heavy vehicles. An alternative route has been established: Dilijan-Noyemberyan-Bagratashen.
