Branch Falls on Citizen's Head While Cutting Tree with Chainsaw; Victim Dies from Injuries

The police received a report yesterday from the "Ijavan" Medical Center stating that the body of 28-year-old Sasha Martirosyan had been brought in from the village of Gndzakar in a deceased state.

The Police of Armenia informed that officers from the operational group who arrived at the scene clarified that on the same day, Martirosyan was cutting a tree with a chainsaw in the "Bdulghanut" area of the Gndzakar Forestry of the Ijavan Forestry Enterprise, when a branch fell on his head, resulting in his death from the injuries sustained.

The circumstances of the incident are being clarified. The investigation materials are being prepared at the Tavush Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee.
