Thefts Discovered by Investigative Committee
The Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia has revealed a number of incidents of theft that occurred in Yerevan as a result of extensive investigative actions conducted by the investigative department covering the Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts. One individual has been detained.
According to preliminary information, the individual suspected of committing the crime allegedly broke car windows with the intent of stealing property belonging to others in various administrative districts of Yerevan.
Through a series of large-scale investigative and procedural actions, as well as operational intelligence measures, the identity of the alleged perpetrator, a resident of Yerevan born in 1989, was established. Based on sufficient evidence gathered, a 30-year-old resident of Yerevan has been charged under Article 177, Part 2, Clause 3, Article 185, Part 1, and Article 324, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code. Detention has been chosen as a measure of restraint.
The preliminary investigation is ongoing, with necessary investigative actions being taken to uncover similar criminal behaviors by the indicated individual and to identify possible accomplices.
