«Hraparak». At this age, can I be told to testify: Alik Sargsyan

«Hraparak» newspaper reports. We asked former police chief, and defendant in the March 1 case, Alik Sargsyan whether law enforcement had offered him to testify against Kocharian or any other individual in exchange for not being prosecuted. Sargsyan replied, “No, such a thing has not happened, that would be offensive to me. At this age, with the path I have walked, can anyone say to me, ‘Come, testify’? It wouldn’t be right for anyone to make such an offer to me; I would have a very negative attitude towards it.”

However, according to certain information, many others have received such offers. Sargsyan stated, “I am not a person who gives testimony; it is absolutely out of the question. As for those who have done so, may God be with them; let them answer for what they have done.”
