Currently, There Are No Armenian Citizens at Istanbul Airport, Says Naghdalyan

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has established contact with the Turkish airline and confirmed that currently, there are no Armenian citizens at Istanbul Airport. This was stated by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Anna Naghdalyan, in an interview with "Haykakan Jamanak," addressing the question of what measures the Ministry is taking to assist Armenian citizens remaining in Turkey.

It is worth noting that the Turkish airline "Atlas Global" has announced the suspension of flights from November 26 to December 21 due to financial problems. "We were also informed that some citizens have agreed to return to Yerevan starting December 21, which is when the Istanbul-Yerevan flight will be restored," Naghdalyan stated.

According to Naghdalyan, no Armenian citizens have approached the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or its consular representation seeking assistance. She urged media outlets to contact the Ministry if citizens reach out to them regarding such issues.

After Atlas Global canceled all flights, reports circulated in the media that approximately 150 passengers scheduled to depart for Armenia on the night of November 26-27 were left stranded in Turkey.
