Illegal Logging Case Discovered
On November 20, officers from the Spitak Police Department and traffic police serving the Lori region conducted a reinforced service aimed at preventing and uncovering environmental violations.
A Ford vehicle driven by a 45-year-old man from the village of Mrats in Lori was transported to the special area of the department from the beginning of the Spitak-Vanadzor road, loaded with about 4 cubic meters of timber. The driver did not present any documents to verify the legality of the cargo.
Another vehicle, a large truck driven by a 26-year-old man from the village of Yeghenik, was also moved to the department's special area from the Spitak-Vanadzor road. The ZIL truck was loaded with about 8 cubic meters of timber, and the driver did not provide any documents to prove the legality of the cargo.
Materials are being prepared regarding the incidents. The circumstances are being clarified.
