Bako Sahakyan Signs Decree for Winter Draft and Discharge in 2020

The President of the Republic of Artsakh, Bako Sahakyan, signed a decree on November 21 regarding the implementation of the winter draft and discharge for 2020, as reported by the Information Department of the President’s Office of Artsakh.

According to the decree, the winter draft for mandatory military service will take place in January 2020 for male citizens of the Republic of Artsakh who turn 18 on or before December 31, 2019, as well as for those citizens whose deferral from the previous call for mandatory military service has expired on or before December 31, 2019.

In accordance with the decree, soldiers who have completed their mandatory military service within the legally established time frame will be discharged in January 2020.
