Marina Khachatryan Sues Political Scientist Stepan Safaryan

The former member of the Yerevan City Council, Marina Khachatryan, has filed a lawsuit against political scientist Stepan Safaryan. This information was reported by the 'Armenian Times' based on data from the Judicial Information System.

Khachatryan seeks to defend her honor and dignity from defamatory and insulting statements made publicly. The lawsuit was submitted on November 6. The case has been assigned to Judge Eduard Amaleyan of the Yerevan General Jurisdiction Court.

Khachatryan's representative, Pavlik Poladyan, stated in our conversation that, in addition to the aforementioned claims, they will also seek compensation for moral damages. However, the lawyer did not specify which specific statements of Safaryan were perceived by his client as defamatory.
