Robert Kocharian Underwent Tumor Surgery, Levon Kocharian Details

Robert Kocharian has undergone surgery for a tumor, his son, Levon Kocharian, informed reporters during a press briefing.

Notably, a court hearing regarding the criminal case against Kocharian will commence shortly at the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction.

"There was a small tumor that was removed. Fortunately, no malignant cells were found. Now my father feels well and will attend the court hearing; he has no mobility issues," he stated.

It should be noted that Kocharian underwent surgery on October 9 at the Izmiryann Medical Center. After the surgery, he was transferred to the Central Penitentiary.

On July 26, 2018, in connection with the March 1 case, the Special Investigative Service charged former President Robert Kocharian under the first part of article 300.1 of the Criminal Code of Armenia, for his involvement in the unconstitutional overthrow of the constitutional order of the Republic of Armenia in agreement with other individuals.
