«Hraparak». Businessman Threatened with 6-10 Years of Imprisonment to Testify Against Hrayr Tovmasyan
«Hraparak» newspaper reports:
Since yesterday, there have been reports in the media that a businessman who testified against the President of the Constitutional Court, Hrayr Tovmasyan, stated in his testimony that he met with Tovmasyan at the suggestion of a relative to acquire a plot of land at 14 Baghramyan 1 dead end, where Tovmasyan allegedly said he was selling such a space. However, subsequently, the businessman renounced his intention to purchase the land.
Additionally, during a confrontation with his relative, Norair Panosyan, who denies the fact of the mentioned meeting, the businessman stated that he does not recall the location, time, or any other details of the meeting with Tovmasyan.
The newspaper has obtained some information regarding this interrogation. The businessman has testified against the President of the Constitutional Court for the fourth time during consecutive interrogations.
Moreover, before the interrogation, he was presented with a decision regarding his arrest based on another criminal case for money laundering and was threatened with 6-10 years of imprisonment. Upon the advice of his lawyer, he requested a 30-minute postponement of the interrogation, and upon returning, accepted the proposal to testify against Tovmasyan, mentioning that he does not remember the location and details of the meeting. After this, the text regarding his arrest decision was torn up.
