Alen Simonyan Appears in Court for Levon Yeranosyan's Case
The trial regarding the former Deputy Chief of Police of Armenia, Levon Yeranosyan, has commenced in the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction located in Avan and Nor-Nork, presided over by Judge Harutyun Manukyan.
Notably, among those present in court today were individuals recognized as victims in the case, including the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan. Currently, the court is in the phase of examining evidence.
It is important to recall that according to the indictment, Levon Yeranosyan is accused of deliberately committing acts that clearly exceeded his authority and caused significant harm to the rights and legitimate interests of citizens, as well as recklessly leading to severe consequences.
He has been charged under points 2 and 3 of part 1 of Article 309 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia. As a measure of restraint, he has been released on a written undertaking not to leave.
