About 7 Million Drams for Fighting Corruption
The Corruption Prevention Commission has received the first millions from the budget to start its activities and ensure its normal functioning.
A total of 6,787,000 drams will be allocated from the budget to the Corruption Prevention Commission. This decision was made during today's government session without discussion or report.
According to the draft decision, the funds are necessary to organize and carry out priority activities aimed at ensuring the “normal functioning of the Commission.”
“The adoption of this draft decision will enable the establishment of minimum conditions for the normal operation of the Corruption Prevention Commission through funds allocated from the state budget,” the draft states.
It is worth noting that the Corruption Prevention Commission was established in 2019. This new body will not engage in the investigation of corrupt crimes but will mainly carry out preventive and educational functions, as well as analyze the property and income declarations of public officials.
