The situation at the border is calm at the moment, wrote Defense Ministry spokesman Artsrun Hovhannisyan on his Facebook page.

“In response to our statement, the Azerbaijani side has disseminated foolishness about the actions of their border guards that took place last night,” Hovhannisyan noted.

Earlier, he informed that overnight and early this morning in Tavush, the opponent had fired from various calibers at several villages and combat positions, and after returning fire, the opponent fell silent, with no casualties reported from the Armenian side.

The Azerbaijani Border Service, for its part, stated that Armenian armed forces opened fire towards several villages and combat positions in the Kazakh region.
