Prime Minister's Office Discusses Option to Purchase New Aircraft

The Prime Minister's Office of Armenia is discussing the option to purchase a new aircraft to serve the Prime Minister. According to Armenpress, this was stated on October 30 during a session in the National Assembly by Edward Aghajanyan, the head of the Prime Minister's Office, while responding to a question from Ani Samsonyan, a member of the 'Bright Armenia' faction, regarding Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's visit to the United States via private jet.

'The aircraft serving the Prime Minister is unable to technically cross the ocean. I discussed this issue with the Prime Minister's adviser Hakob Chagaryan, who is a pilot. In order to acquire this capability, it would require millions of dollars in expenses, according to Mr. Chagaryan. We also have the issue that our pilots are not licensed to conduct transatlantic flights. We are currently discussing the option of purchasing a new aircraft,' Aghajanyan stated.

Edward Aghajanyan noted that the matter is still under discussion, but the current aircraft is quite old and does not meet some standards anymore.
