Court Hearing of Kocharian vs. Silva Hambardzoumian Did Not Take Place
The court hearing in the case of former Armenian President Robert Kocharian against businesswoman Silva Hambardzoumian did not take place yesterday. The judge of the Yerevan City Court of First Instance, Edik Avetisyan, was participating in an annual seminar.
The date and time for the next court hearing will be announced later.
It is worth mentioning that the lawsuit was filed by Robert Kocharian's lawyer Aram Orbelian, demanding the refutation of defamatory factual statements and the collection of two million AMD in compensation. The basis for the lawsuit was a statement made by Silva Hambardzoumian during a press conference at the "Hayatsk" press club on November 2, 2018, in which she claimed, "In 2008, I made a major transaction with Arabs and to avoid any interference, I paid both the President of the Republic, Kocharian Robert, and ..."
