Car Overturns on Yerevan-Ijevan Highway; Casualty Reported

On October 29, at 11:30 AM, the emergency service received a report of an accident near the Sevan peninsula, indicating that there was a casualty and assistance from rescuers was needed. This was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES).

A firefighting and rescue team from the MES regional rescue department was dispatched to the scene. It was revealed that a Volkswagen Golf vehicle, driven by Gayane Gh. (born in 1979), had veered off the road and overturned at the 71st kilometer of the M-4 highway section between Yerevan and Ijevan.

The driver was hospitalized at Sevan Medical Center, where doctors assessed her condition as moderate. Rescuers have disconnected the car's battery and closed the gas cylinder valve.
