Aragatsotn Province Mayor of Aparan and Founder of Gntunik Karen Yeghiazaryan Charged

The Mayor of Aparan, Karen Yeghiazaryan, has been charged. The news was confirmed in an interview with SHANTNEWS.am by Naira Harutyunyan, the head of the Information and Public Relations Department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia.

Yeghiazaryan is accused under Article 315.2 of the RA Criminal Code, which pertains to committing an act dangerous to the public with culpability, specifically the illegal seizure of land plots belonging to the state or community, as well as the failure to take legally mandated measures to suspend or prevent unauthorized construction of buildings and structures.

Karen Yeghiazaryan is the founder and owner of the Gntunik company.
