Zeitung. MPs also want their salaries increased

«Zeitung» newspaper reports that members of parliament also wish for their salaries to be increased and equalized to the salaries of ministers and deputy ministers. Prior to the last increase, the salary of MPs was equivalent to that of deputy ministers, while the salary of committee chairs was equivalent to that of ministers. Currently, the difference is more than double, despite MPs receiving a bonus of 140,000 drams in recent months.

However, MPs believe it is unfair for representatives of the legislative authority to be compensated significantly less than representatives of the executive authority.
