VIDEO: LHK Condemns Secret Salary Increases for Ministers and Officials

The "Enlightened Armenia" party condemns the salary increases for ministers and officials. During a press briefing today in the National Assembly, LHK faction leader Edmon Marukyan stated that while they completely understand such an approach, questions arise.

"We understand that high-ranking officials should receive higher salaries, but this cannot be done secretly. That is the crux of the matter," Marukyan clarified.

The parliamentarian also emphasized that this decision should not have been made while bypassing the parliament.

It is noted that the salary increase initiated by the Armenian government for ministers, their deputies, and chief secretaries of ministries has evoked mixed reactions in society. The situation has been exacerbated by the fact that this decision was made in secret. The information first emerged in the media, prompting the Prime Minister and other government members to comment on the situation.
