Soldier Who Left Military Unit Will Face Criminal Liability: Defense Ministry Spokesman

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, Artsrun Hovhannisyan, made a post on his Facebook page regarding the desertion of a conscript soldier from their military unit. The full post is presented below:

“Regardless of the level of noise raised or the show created, as a result of leaving the military unit for more than three days, the soldier will face criminal liability.”

It is worth mentioning that a conscript soldier has voluntarily left the military unit located in the city of Kapan, Syunik Province, for several days, and there have been no updates regarding his whereabouts.
