VIDEO. New Details Revealed. Head of the Investigative Committee on the High-Profile Wiretapping Case
All cases have been investigated objectively, comprehensively, and thoroughly, regardless of whether anyone is in office or not. This was stated today, October 21, by the head of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, Hayk Grigoryan, during a conversation with reporters regarding the wiretapping case involving former NSS director Arthur Vanetsyan and head of the Special Investigation Service Sasun Khachatryan.
In reference to a previous statement where he indicated that the instigator is known, Hayk Grigoryan clarified, “I did not say that, I said that the location from which that conversation spread is known, those are different things. The preliminary investigation is proceeding in its normal course. Yes, there are a number of revealed circumstances, but I do not consider it appropriate to talk about them for the sake of the ongoing investigation.”
Regarding Arthur Vanetsyan's claim that it is well known who the instigators are, Grigoryan stated, “We have never made such a statement during our activities.”
It is noteworthy that about a year ago a recording of a phone conversation between NSS director Arthur Vanetsyan and head of the Special Investigation Service Sasun Khachatryan surfaced online. During the 8-minute conversation, Vanetsyan and Khachatryan discussed the detention of former president Robert Kocharyan, as well as the criminal cases against CSTO Secretary General Yuri Khachaturov and former Minister of Defense Mikayel Harutyunyan.
