Kapani resident buys lambs and pays with non-existent money; he has been detained
On October 7, at 3 PM, officers from the main department of criminal investigation of the police, in cooperation with Kotayk criminal investigators, detained a 56-year-old man from Kapan on suspicion of committing fraud at the intersection of Khanchyan and Nalbandyan streets in Yerevan.
According to the police, the man confessed to making purchases between July and October through deception and abuse of trust, using non-existent Russian and US banknotes.
Officers from the Byureghavan police department discovered that on October 4, the Kapan resident bought two lambs from a resident of Arzni village, paying with 12,000 Russian rubles, which are not a valid means of payment, causing a damage of 100,000 drams. Investigations are ongoing.
