Minimum Wage to be Increased: National Assembly
A draft bill regarding the change in minimum wage has been presented for discussion in the National Assembly, proposing to raise the minimum wage from 55,000 to 68,000 drams.
This was reported by MP Varazdat Karapetyan. He noted that as a result of discussions with the government, they have determined that this change will lead to wage increases for approximately 55,000 public sector employees and about 130,000 private sector employees.
Karapetyan mentioned that the burden on the state will amount to 2 billion drams, and the government is willing to incur such expenses.
