Property of Gagik Khachatryan Seized, Says Yerem Sargsyan
The Anti-Corruption Committee's investigative department has placed a lien on the property of former State Revenue Committee president Gagik Khachatryan, who is accused of large-scale embezzlement. This was announced during a brief conversation with journalists by Khachatryan's lawyer, Yerem Sargsyan, at the Court of Appeals.
Sargsyan noted that he has appealed the investigator's decision to seize Khachatryan's property.
Earlier, we reported that the National Security Service arrested Gagik Khachatryan and his nephew, former State Revenue Committee official Karen Khachatryan, on August 27, and three days later, the former officials were charged.
Khachatryan is being accused under the second part of Article 308 and the first point of Article 179, relating to abuse of office and large-scale embezzlement.
