Support Provided to Citizen in Distressed Psychological State on "Silachi" Bridge, Later Found in Similar State on "Victory" Bridge
On August 26, at 11:16 AM, a call was received by the "911" service reporting that a citizen on the "Silachi" Bridge in Yerevan was in a severe emotional state and did not wish to live. Immediate assistance from rescue services was needed.
The junior instructor of the psychological support division at the Ministry of Emergency Situations' Crisis Management National Center established contact with the individual and provided necessary psychological assistance until police officers arrived.
At 3:33 PM, the "911" service received another call indicating that the same individual was on the Victory Bridge and wanted to speak with a woman.
A team from the firefighting and rescue squad of the Yerevan rescue department, alongside an operational group from the crisis management center and the junior instructor from the psychological support division, responded to the scene.
Rescuers found Artak P. (born in 1978) on the bridge, to whom the junior instructor again provided psychological support. Subsequently, police officers transported him to the Central police station.
