Large Sum of Money Extorted from Russian Singer Mart Babayan of Armenian Descent
The law enforcement authorities in the Leningrad region have arrested a 56-year-old individual, a car service owner, suspected of extorting a large sum of money from Russian singer Mart Babayan, who has Armenian roots and was a finalist in the "Voice of Armenia" competition. This information was reported by shantnews.am.
From September 2017 to December 2018, the singer transferred 2,694,000 rubles to the car service under the pretext of helping him acquire a high-quality, expensive vehicle. As a result, the car service did not fulfill its promise and did not return the money.
In April 2019, Babayan contacted the police. The police arrested the director of the car service, who confessed to his guilt.
